AN INTROSPECTIVE INTO HOW I BECAME

Ongoing Research Project
AN INTROSPECTIVE INTO HOW I BECAME aka “The hitchhikers guide into
Your inner child? The corner where you can stop thinking? The most secure person I ever used to be.”

This research explores the tension between perfectionism and playfulness, using the figures of the perfectionist and the fool as guiding archetypes. Perfectionism often traps us in cycles of overthinking and fear of failure, while the fool embodies levity, curiosity, and the courage to move without hesitation.

By reflecting on my own experiences rather than relying on external theory, I’ve investigated how societal rules, expectations, and self-imposed constraints shrink our imagination—and how reclaiming play can act as both rebellion and rescue. The project asks whether seriousness and foolishness are truly opposites, or whether they can exist in dialogue.

The work culminates in the idea of a “rulebook”: a framework that provides just enough structure to enable freedom, creativity, and nonsense to flourish. In doing so, it charts a path between control and spontaneity, inviting us to reimagine how we might live, learn, and create with both rigor and play.
